“The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice.” Psalms 97:1
Don’t let the waves of life drown your hope for more than what you can see; more than what you are experiencing. There is a hope that supersedes this life and cannot be extinguished if you put your trust in the Creator. The Bible teaches us in Matthew 12:21 that, “In His name the nations will put their hope.” We know through biblical study that this passage is referring to Jesus who is the Son of God. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him,” John 3:16-17.
“Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us,” Romans 5:3-8
Christ died on the cross for the remission, that is the removal, of your sins and is calling you to be saved in order to receive the benefits of that precious sacrifice which is eternal life. “When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, ‘Brothers, what shall we do?’ Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit,'” Acts 2:37-38
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love…” 1 Corinthians 13:13
