Asian Missionary Plant Work Love Offering

Amidst the Southern Asian countries, with a population of 26,494,504 people, Nepal falls above India on the south and below China on the north; two giant nations hiding the small land-only country of Nepal brightened in beauty by Mount Everest.

Remaining as a monarchy nation until 2006, Nepal then followed other nations as a democratic government but, in many ways, only in name.

Nepal’s current in religion demographic consist of 81.3% Hinduism, 12.5% Buddhism, 4.5% Islam, 1.4% various denominations of Christianity, and 0.4% True Christianity (churches of Christ).

“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” -1 Timothy 2:3-4

Nepal has well over a 60% illiteracy rate and is segregated with over 75 different languages. Many citizens do not even speak or understand the national language. Hinduism has led to various segregated laws and over 40 social class divisions which all lead to an overwhelming amount of discrimination. Those citizens burdened by poverty in a social caste system are some of the most receptive and strongest believers of the Gospel of Christ!

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” -Matthew 11:28

Such trampled souls in Nepal are seeking freedom and are calling His name.

In many of the poverty stricken areas of Nepal saving souls is a highly risky undertaking and requires fervent prayer, diligent evangelism, extensive Biblical teaching, and innovative church growth practices.

“…The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” -Luke 10:2

The Great Commission of Jesus Christ is no less binding on us today than it was on the disciples of the first century church. In order to carry out the Lord’s commandments of evangelism today in the country of Nepal there is the strong need of International support both spiritually and monetarily.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…” -Matthew 28:19

Faithful young men and women who are willing to devote their lives to Christ’s eternal calling will need to be trained both in Nepal and abroad to assist the Holy Spirit in the furtherance of God’s Kingdom in the wonderful country of Nepal.

Would you like to be an active part in saving souls and building the Lord’s church all the way across the world?!

We welcome you!

The church of Christ Bridgeport in Bridgeport, CT has taken on the Lord’s challenge to seek and save the lost in Nepal through the Lord’s love, prayer, and utilizing modern technology. Since 2012, the church of Christ Bridgeport has provided weekly Biblical teaching and training through an Internet teaching program. This teaching and training class is held every Saturday morning in Nepal, which is Friday night Eastern Standard Time, in collaboration with the Jamaican School of Preaching. Every week the church of Christ Bridgeport connects with the Jamaican School of Preaching and the brethren in Kathmandu, Nepal along with local inquisitive visitors all through the power of God and the power of the Internet!

The goal of the weekly class is to build a strong foundation for the local churches in the love of God through Christ, the love they have of one another, and the true knowledge of God’s Word. We believe it is vitally important to build the church and in turn power the evangelistic efforts throughout the country of Nepal on these foundational principles.

The church of Christ Bridgeport supports the church of Christ Putalisadak in Kathmandu (the capital city of Nepal) through sound biblical teaching as well as financial support. With the financial support the church of Christ in Kathmandu rents a facility that allows the church to worship God in spirit and in truth every Lord’s day and gather for fellowship in the Lord’s Word.

In May 2014, the Lord blessed the church of Christ Bridgeport with the opportunity to host a Gospel Meeting in Nepal which resulted in numerous baptisms and the unification of various church leaders. With the presentation of a new evangelistic plan of delivering the old, old story of the Gospel of Christ, both the Christians in Nepal and the church of Christ Bridgeport were enthusiastic and spiritually charged to push forward even greater down the path of righteousness.

But they cannot do it alone! They need your help. The Lord needs your help. Our goal is to replicate our teaching and training efforts all over the country through solar powered electricity and Internet connection accompanied with projectors and laptops. Our goal is to create economically viable structures for each congregation to be self sufficient and relying on God as the source of their wealth. Thats all it takes to connect people willing and eager to study God’s Word from the United States to Jamaica to Nepal!

With your individual and congregational commitment of time, Biblical teaching, and financial resources we will grow the Lord’s church in Nepal stronger and greater than any of us could even imagine.

“Then He said, ‘To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.’” -Mark 4:30-32
