“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” -Matthew 7:21

True biblical teaching proves the proper steps needed to accept the gift of salvation. Contrary to what you may have heard in the past, the Bible teaches us the 6 essential aspects of accepting the gift of salvation.

Hear:

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” -Romans 10:17

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” -Matthew 7:24-27

Believe:

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. ” -Hebrews 11:6

“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.'” -Mark 16:15-16

Repent:

“Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'” -Acts 2:38

“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,” -Acts 17:30

“I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” -Luke 13:3

Confess:

“”Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.'” -Matthew 10:32-33

“Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, ‘See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?’ Then Philip said, ‘If you believe with all your heart, you may.’ And he answered and said, ‘I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.'” -Acts 8:36-37

Be Baptized:

“Then Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'” -Acts 2:38

“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.'” -Mark 16:15-16

“And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’” -Acts 22:16

“…who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” -1 Peter 3:20-21

“And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.” -Acts 10:48

“Jesus answered, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.'” -John 3:5

Remain Faithful:

“Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.” -Revelation 2:10

“You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.” -James 2:24
